Authentico Foods is a Chicago-based food manufacturer specializing in authentic, all-natural Mexican food products. The company was formed through the combination of two long-standing brands, La Guadalupana and El Ranchero.
La Guadalupana
Established in 1945 and named after the Virgin of Guadalupe by its founders, La Guadalupana has grown into a successful Mexican food manufacturing company. It specializes in fresh masa (corn dough used to make tamales and tortillas), cooked tamales, corn for pozole, and other delicious products. The brand’s success derives from using only the best ingredients and delivering the authentic Mexican taste that its customers demand.
El Ranchero
Since 1970, El Ranchero has been meeting the growing demand for authentic, traditional Mexican corn products in Chicago and surrounding markets. It has become one of the leading companies in its category by offering products that are exceptional in quality and taste, responding to the demands and palates of its customers, and creating new and innovative products. El Ranchero offers a variety of tortilla chips and tostadas, including its recently launched Chile Lime flavored tortilla chips.
El Ranchava
In 1970, Salvador “Chava” Hernandez set out to create the tastiest and most authentic Mexican tortilla chips using all-natural ingredients and only the finest quality corn. Recalling the ranch in Jalisco, Mexico, where he was born, worked, and shared many family gatherings, Salvador proudly chose “El Ranchero” (meaning the “ranch”) as the name for his chips. Today, the brand continues its connection to the “ranch” and celebrates its founder’s nickname “Chava” through the “El Ranchava” brand name. The company has preserved the same premium ingredients and time-honored production methods that make El Ranchero chips a favorite.
